WW2 South African made steel and camouflage rubberised cover in good to fair used condition. The steel helmet has the three holes on the back for the cloth neck flap and is in good condition, the steel helmet has a British liner dated 1943 in place and marked for B.M.B Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd of Dagenham. The steel helmet has its original sand colour paint showing on the inside and has been period re-painted in green this has been photographed, the steel helmet retains its original chin strap and is a good all original item. The camouflaged rubberised helmet and neck cover has the Canadian war department arrow with makers details and the date which is faint and has been rubbed with use but again photographed for you to view. The camouflaged cover does have age related wear and tear with some tears which have been photographed, the helmet cover is a very rare item to find so even in this well used condition it is still a good example for display and this can be seen from the pictures. The rubberised cover is still supple and has a sticky feel to its, it can be moved without causing any further damage to it, I have not removed the cover completely just enough for the photographs required. Please see the photographs for further details.
