On a Plain Domed Maple Leaf Background a Tablet Reading: WVRC. Surmounted by a crouching Beaver, Facing Left as Observed from the Front. Die Struck in Gilding Metal, Single Screw Post & Retaining Screw Fitting to the Rear. c.1939.

Notes: In 1939 there were many Voluntary Women’s Corps organized to assist in the War Effort. Members of these Corps wore a variety of Armbands and Private Uniforms. These groups existed, without official government sanction or support. They obtained all their insignia under their own initiative. However, the Volunteer Units were amalgamated by the Canadian Women’s Army Corps (CWAC’s).
